Toniane Maxwell

Toniane was born in Jamaica, West Indies where she spent her childhood years then migrated to Brooklyn, New York where her passion for the community and people was developed.

She has transformed Programs through efficient hiring practices which led to growing programs to multiple locations in New York. Some of her accomplishments include: slashing staff turnover rate by 30% in less than a year and CAMBA’s Health Homes Program awarded advance funding due to efficient hiring success, improved staff morale and productivity through creation of streamlined operational processes and successfully led the lowest performing location (1 of 3) into being the highest performing within one year.

She has partnered with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH) to maintain fiscal integrity and oversight of hundreds of grant funded contracts to various organizations.

Toniane has managed budgets, fund allocation, procurement, payment, risk, and compliance for a portfolio of contracts with a diverse set of revenue sources (including New York City Tax Levy, New York State A and 6, Federal, and private funds). Often collaborating with subject matter experts in Finance and Legal Affairs.

Toniane received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English at Stony Brook University where she also studied Pre-Med. She then went on to receive a Certificate in Culinary Arts, then obtained a Masters in Public Administration with Membership in Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Administration.

Toniane loves to bask in nature as well as learning and teaching others about holistic living. She’s a proud “tree hugger” who enjoys spending time with family and loved ones.
